Trump wishes Biden ‘a fast and successful recovery’ after prostate cancer diagnosis
President Donald Trump said he was “saddened” to hear about former President Joe Biden‘s prostate cancer diagnosis and wished his political adversary well.
A Biden spokesperson announced May 18 that the former president has an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that has spread to the bone.
“The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” the statement added.
“We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” Trump said in a statement on behalf of himself and First Lady Melania Trump.
Biden defeated Trump in the 2020 presidential race after an acrimonious campaign. Biden dropped out of the 2024 race after a poor debate performance that increased concerns about his age and mental acuity.
