Trump installs sculpture depicting iconic image of him after Butler assassination attempt in Oval Office
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump added a new sculpture to the Oval Office that depicts the aftermath of the July 2024 assassination attempt on him in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The sculpture was seen on a side table next to the POTUS‘ Resolute Desk on Friday, May 9, when Trump signed several executive orders in front of reporters, per the New York Post.

Trump adds sculpture depicting aftermath of Butler assassination attempt in Oval Office
The statue shows President Trump raising his fist in the air, just moments after being hit in the ear by Thomas Matthew Crooks’ bullets on July 13 last year.
The former Republican nominee shouted “Fight Fight! Fight!” at rallygoers at the Butler Farm Show Grounds, during the iconic moment, which was captured by the artist, per the outlet.

The sculpture also contains three Secret Service agents, including the current director of the agency, Sean Curran, ushering Trump offstage.
The art piece also has the American flag hanging vertically behind Trump, as it was in Butler.

Meanwhile, the White House did not provide any details about the art piece to the outlet, but it seems to be the work of Stan Watts, who plans to build a 9-foot tall bronze statue capturing the moment, per the Trump Statute Project website.
Other art pieces depicting Trump’s Butler assassination attempt
Interestingly, the Oval Office statue is not the only piece of art related to the Butler assassination attempt, which is on display at the White House.
In April 2025, a painting of one of the iconic images captured by New York Times photographer Doug Mills in Butler was seen hanging in a prominent spot in the Grand Foyer of the East Wing of the White House.
