Two almost identical-looking athletes who have same name take DNA test to see if they are actually long-lost siblings

Scientists say that statistically, everyone has about six doppelgangers somewhere out there in the world.

Basically, six people are walking around today who could easily pass as your twin. Although odds are, you’ll never get to bump into them. But for two athletes who look almost exactly alike, those crazy odds actually played out.

Brady Feigl, a pitcher for the Long Island Ducks, looks nearly identical to another Brady Feigl, who just so happens to also be a pitcher. The difference is, the other Brady Feigl is a member of the Las Vegas Aviators. Both guys are 6’4″ with red hair and red beards, and even wear the same style of thick glasses.

So you can see why the pair had questions when they encountered one another.

One of the Bradys said he was contacted about his surgery to ask when he was coming in for the operation, which he had six months prior.

“I was probably six or seven months out of surgery and their office called our trainer and said, ‘Hey, when’s Brady reporting for surgery? Is he getting down here tomorrow?’” he described to Inside Edition. “He was like, ‘He had it six months ago. What are you talking about?’ That’s how I found out there were two of us.”

After years of people pointing out the similarities, the two Bradys decided it was time to find answers.

Since neither had ever met another Feigl outside their own families, they went for a DNA test to see if they might be long-lost brothers – or if they were even related at all. And to the surprise of many, the DNA test showed that the Bradys weren’t actually related at all.

However, what it did show was that both Bradys had identical Germanic ancestry levels, each registering as 53% Germanic origin. On other levels, like personality, the pair were completely different. Even if they aren’t identical twins, that doesn’t stop the wholesome Brady connection as the baseball players admitted they’re glad to have met each other and are ‘still brothers in a way.’

One of them remarked: “And we’re always going to be Brady Feigl.”

Funnily enough, the mystery continues for their friends and baseball fans online. On one occasion, someone wished Brady a happy birthday on X but tagged the wrong one. In response, the other Brady laughed it off: “Wrong Brady Feigl. Might be looking for @bfeigl39.”

Even if they aren’t blood-related, the two share a pretty unique connection – the kind most people only hear about but never get to experience.

However, it did show that both Bradys had identical Germanic ancestry levels, each registering as 53% Germanic in origin. So while they aren’t long-lost siblings, the mystery of their likeness continues.

On other levels, the pair were completely different.

That doesn’t stop the Brady connection however.

The baseball players said they were glad to have met each other and that they were ‘still brothers in a way’ which is very wholesome indeed.

‘And we’re always going to be Brady Feigl.’

Their similarities have caused a large amount of confusion among baseball fans.

On one occasion someone wished Brady a happy birthday on X, then Twitter, but tagged the wrong one.

In response, the other baseball star replied: ‘Wrong Brady Feigl. Might be looking for @bfeigl39.’

Even if they aren’t brothers, both of them are connected for life and share a unique bond that few people experience.
